2020 Season Cancelled

Dear QHYSA Community Members,

I hope this letter finds you and your family safe and healthy.The board promised to meet by March 31st to provide it's members with some answers about the future of our season. It is with a heavy heart that we have made the decision to cancel the 2020 season. Many factors were considered when making  this decision but ultimately the health and well being of our community was at the top of our list. 

I am sure there are many questions you may have and I will attempt to answer them in this email.

-Will I get a refund?
A partial refund will be offered to each player based on the individual expenses already incurred prior to the start of the season:

Uniforms                                   = $29.79
Processing Fee ($67 x 3.99%) = $  2.67
                                                     $32.46

Registration fee $67 - $32.46 =  $34.54 refund

-When will I get my refund?
We are presently working with our online vendor to set up refunds electronically for next week. If you paid by cash or check, we may need a few extra days as our treasurer has to manually make them out and a different person has to sign them. We will do our best to expedite the process. If you paid by card but want a check, that will not be an option.

-May I donate my refund back to the league?
Yes! Your generous donation would help cover the collective  expenses the league has already paid for but will be unable to recover. One example is the insurance premium. If you choose to donate, please respond to this email and we will provide you with a donation email that you may use for your taxes.

-When will I get my uniform?
Uniforms were ordered at the beginning of February and the coaches hopefully gave you your hat the first week of practice. During the second week of practice, the board members were delivering the jerseys during practices. There was rain on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of that week and we were unable to make the deliveries. Even those coaches who received them on Monday and Wednesday did not necessarily hand them out. With that being said, we would like to set a date(s) perhaps at the beginning of June, for uniform distribution. A future email will confirm these times.

-If I am a coach, what should I do with the equipment?
Hold onto your equipment for now until we can schedule a turn in place and time. Know that we are asking that you return the incredi -balls as well since many of them were only used for one or two practices (even if you wrote your team's name on them!) This is another collective expense we hope to recover.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding during these unprecedented times. As a reminder, only respond to this email if you are interested in donating your refund back to the league. On behalf of your board, thank you for allowing us to serve. We wish all of you good health and safety for your family.
